Thinking about going solar? Solar Urbana Champaign — a group buy program where home and business owners can pool their resources to make switching to solar a bit more affordable — is starting up their eighth program year with a Solar Power Hour on August 30th at Common Ground Food Co-op. The free presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m., and it’s a an opportunity to learn more about what participating would entail.

The program is offered by the City of Urbana, the City of Champaign, Citizens’ Utility Board, Common Ground Food Co-Op, and the Midwest Renewable Energy Association, and is available to people in Champaign, Vermillion, and Piatt counties.
