From the press release:

ILoveMakonnen to Perform at Foellinger Auditorium

Champaign, IL — Star Course, the University of Illinois studentrun concert productions and promotions organization, is proud to announce that American hiphop artist ILoveMakonnen will be coming to Foellinger Auditorium on Sunday, March 15th, 2015 in Champaign-Urbana.

Hiphop artist ILoveMakonnen’s musical career has been heavily influenced by his operasinger grandmother as well as local Atlanta artists Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy. Makonnen has been releasing mixtapes since 2010 (Drink More Water 15),but he started gaining more attention when he was introduced to producer Sonny Digital whom helped him record the track “Don’t Sell Molly No More”, which helped him achieve local fame in the community. His career truly took off in 2014 when his selftitled EP ILoveMakonnen released in July. In August of 2014, fellow rapper Drake remixed Makonnen’s “Club Goin’ Up on a Tuesday”. Following the release of the remix, ILoveMakonnen signed with Drake’s label OVO Sound in September of 2014.

Doors open at 7 p.m. The show starts at 8 p.m.

Tickets will be available for sale soon. They can be purchased through State Farm Center. Tickets will cost $15 for students and $25 for the public.
