Student calls for business boycotts over racism

U of I student Ryan Kenji Kuramitsu has a really great blog called A Real Rattlesnake Meets His Maker and last week decided to begin creating a blacklist of local businesses that support racist imagery.

While there are a few inaccuracies (a few businesses are closed and apparently Kuramitsu believes that people wearing Chief polos in the vicinity of the ice rink means the hockey team is racist) it’s a great read. It’s a pretty courageous thing for a student to do in town, let’s see if this can gain some traction.
