The first ever CU Dance Festival is happening this weekend at the Urbana Dance Company and will feature both local and visiting performers, including Inaside Chicago Dance, Emily Trapnell, and Kyle Ayers. The goal of the festival is to “bring the local Champaign-Urbana dance scene together to showcase everything we have to offer and learn from one another in the various styles and forms we have represented across the area. We hope that our participants and everyone involved in this project continue to connect with each other and explore future collaborations in the area.”
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the performance starts at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public; tickets can be purchased at the door and also reserved online through their website.
