The new Vinny’s Pizza By The Slice location is now open in Savoy. Vinny’s sells New York-style pizza by the slice, of course, in addition to pizza pies, calzones, garlic knots, cheesy bread, salads, sub sandwiches, and wraps. When I stopped in yesterday, the new location had lots of choices for pizza by the slice including favorites like cheese, pepperoni, and supreme, but the little pizzeria also had slices of chicken bacon ranch and macaroni-topped pizza.
I ordered a slice of classic pepperoni pizza ($5.24), which they warmed in the oven for a few minutes. That big, floppy slice was hot, greasy, and delicious.
Here’s a look at the menu at Vinny’s Pizza in Savoy. Unlike the Champaign Vinny’s By The Slice, there are no dine-in tables at this new location. Delivery, online order, or walk-in, all the food is to-go here.
