The Normal Theater has a month’s worth of spooky movies lined up

If you are into Halloween-y sorts of movies, whether scary or gory or silly or all of those, then the Normal Theater in Uptown Normal the place for you in October. They are showing 29 different films throughout the next month, from classics like The Mummy (1959) to the original Friday the 13th and Halloween to more recent films like Jennifer’s Body. Check out the schedule below for all of the dates and times.

On October 7th there will be a special double feature of the silent films The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and Nosferatu, with live music provided by a group called the Invincible Czars. According to their website, they “make cinematic, experimental “rock” for music nerds, horror/sci-fi fans, comic book geeks, lovers of cartoons & humor and anyone with a complicated relationship with heavy metal and classical music.”

Tickets for the double feature are $20 general admission, and $15 for students. All others are $7 general and $5 student. They can be purchased online at the Normal Theater website.
