The pepperoni game is strong at Pizzeria Antica

A round wood fired pizza covered in pepperoni.

Last week, I extolled the virtues of a pizza that is a bit off the beaten path in terms of ingredients: the Apple Butter Bacon at Manolo’s. This week’s pizza appreciation post is for the pepperoni at Pizzeria Antica.

I visited the restaurant with my family of four last week, and when they are my dining companions I typically do not get my top choices for pizza. I like things like mushrooms and goat cheese and such. My family members aren’t on board with these things. Thankfully, I’ll eat and enjoy any of their options, including a simple pepperoni.

I was incredibly impressed by the sheer number of pepperonis on this pizza. Just look at it! They cover almost every inch, and they are perfectly charred on the edges. If you are a carnivore, then this is a solid choice.

Pizzeria Antica made it to the Final Four of our Pizza Tournament, before falling to Manolo’s. You can read our review from last year for other pizza suggestions.
