The Undergraduate Library has been renamed

This makes sense of course, since there will be completely different services in that building, once it has been renovated. It’s the end of an era, for sure.

Last month the U of I Board of Trustees approved the new name, Archives and Special Collections. It’s not flashy, but it’s to the point. The underground facility will house the Rare Book & Manuscript Library, Illinois History and Lincoln Collections, and University Archives.
