If you are friends with people who have school aged children, no doubt your social media feeds have been bombarded with photos of kids standing on porches in their back to school best, holding those cutesy chalkboard signs proclaiming their new grade, favorite food, favorite subject and such. Or maybe you are much younger than me and remember being in such photos — either way you get what I’m saying.
During the Illini Union’s Welcome Week, students will have the opportunity to take their own First Day of School photos, complete with a white board for sharing a message, to share on their own social media feeds and make their moms shed a tear and start looking up those first day of kindergarten pics to post side by side with their babies’ first day of college pics. Here’s one from last year:
They will be set up from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, the 27th.
