The Urbana Police Department is giving away bikes on February 14th

Though using a bicycle right now is rather unfathomable, the weather will be reasonable again…hopefully. And even in winter months, there are many who rely on them for transportation. Here are the details of the Urbana Police Department’s giveaway:

The Urbana Police Department will be offering bicycles free of charge to citizens of Champaign-Urbana and surrounding areas. This event will take place on Thursday, February 14, from 10 a.m. to Noon at 202 S Vine Street, Urbana, Illinois (Old Good Year building). The Urbana Police ask that each citizen be limited to one bicycle. The bicycles will be offered as is condition to interested parties.

For more information, please contact DCOP Bob Fitzgerald or Community Liaison Officer Amy Anderson at 217-384-2320 at the Urbana Police Department.
