There will be two listening sessions about the futures of Garden Hills and IPA

ICYMI, there are some heated discussions going on about the futures of Garden Hills Elementary School and International Prep Academy. The gist? The idea has been floated to move IPA to the Garden Hills building in order to have the space to eventually create a K-8 school. Garden Hills would then move to the building that house IPA, on Kirby Avenue.

You can read more about the proposal here. Naturally, there are a lot of opinions about this. If this is something that you want to find out more about, or voice that opinion, there are two opportunities to do so coming up in early January.

Superintendent Dr. Susan Zola will be present at both, updating the community on this building discussion as well as addressing achievement gaps (another important issue that has been in the news lately). Here are the dates and locations:

Garden Hills Elementary School, 2001 Garden Hills Drive

January 7th, 5:30 p.m.

International Prep Academy, 1605 W Kirby Avenue

January 9th, 6 p.m.
