This Chile Colorado is firey good

This Chile Colorado ($11.99) from El Toro II at the new location on Neil Street was so good that I can’t stop thinking about it. Thinly sliced beef with soft slices of onion covered in the most amazing dark red sauce. The sauce gave the dish a chipotle smokiness with a real heat. I enjoyed having lots of fluffy Meixcan rice and soft, cheesy pinto beans to temper the spiciness of the saucy meat.

This meal was served with guacamole, lettuce, pico, and three tortillas (your choice of flour or corn) so I was able to make a few spicy Chile Colorado tacos — and still had plenty to eat with a fork. If you like spicy food, go get you some.
