Twin City Derby Girls Spin The Illinois Remix
Roller Derby Bout 6 PM Sunday, June 8th at Skateland Savoy
Champaign-Urbana’s Twin City Derby Girls are putting a different spin on roller derby this week, bringing together a unique mix of derby skaters from around the state! Doors open at Skateland Savoy, 208 West Curtis Road on Sunday, June 8th at 6 p.m. The family friendly action spins up with the first jam starting whistle at 7 p.m.
Spinning into Champaign-Urbana on Sunday, roller derby skaters from teams around our area mix it up with your home town Twin City Derby Girls! Your best bet this Sunday evening is to be at the rink, cheering on your Twin City Derby Girls!
Enjoy a cornucopia of goodies, baked by the team and their families at their fund-raising bake sale before and during the bout. During the half time break, enjoy the always unpredictable Wheel Game and other fun surprise activities.
Immediately after the game, join TCDG for the after party at Pia’s Sports Bar and Grill at 1609 W. Springfield Ave. There is no cover charge for the party.
Tickets are available for $8 in advance from twincityderbygirls.ticketleap.com. Bout day tickets will also be available at the door until they sell out. A portion of the proceeds from this bout will be donated to Crisis Nursery, a non-profit organization.
