Secretary Buttigieg is hitting some spots in IL-13 today, along with Senator Dick Durbin, Representative Nikki Budzinski, and Illinois Transportation Secretary Omer Osman. They will join local leaders here in a couple of different locations.

At 11 a.m. they have a news conference in Savoy to “highlight a recent $22.6 million grant, made possible by President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, to help remove a railroad crossing that causes significant delays for people trying to get to and from school, work and other daily necessities.”

They will be at U of I at 1:30 p.m. for a “fireside chat” with students and community members, “about the future of transportation infrastructure and the good-paying jobs that are being created as this Administration continues to invest in America.”

Afterwards, they will be headed to East St. Louis.
