Hugh Hefner has passed away at the age of 91, and if you were unaware, Hefner graduated from the University of Illinois, and drew cartoons for The Daily Illini, and started projects here in Champaign-Urbana.
Hefner is from Chicago, and of course is known for his magazine, Playboy.
The University Library has some photos of Hefner, including this one from 1971 when he paid a visit to campus.
The DI has been publishing a bunch of his old cartoons, and has information on their site about Hefner’s work.
