Community United Church of Christ is hosting transgender poet Jay Hulme for an event this December. Hulme is an award-winning poet, speaker, and theologian, known for his acclaimed poem Jesus at the Gay Bar. Hulme writes books for both children and adults.
The event will feature a happy hour with “mocktails” and hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, and raffle, followed by the poetry event and a book signing with Hulme. Although “snazzy attire” is encouraged, you are encouraged to wear what you feel comfortable in.
