Urbana is accepting applications for Youth Services Grants

The City of Urbana has $300,000 available for area organizations that serve kids from low-income families. If your organization fulfills a need for kids in early childhood through age 22, in one of these four areas, you are eligible to apply:

Health (Healthcare, mental health resources, trauma support)

Wellness (Recreation, after school programs, educational programming, mentoring)

Opportunity (Workforce development, job training)

Violence Prevention (mentoring, educational program, intervention programs)

Individual grants will likely range from $10,000 to $50,000, and the grant period runs from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024. Applications are due by March 31st.

Applicants are required to attend one of two workshops. February 10th, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Urbana Free Library Lewis Auditorium, or March 14th, 5 to 6 p.m. at Urbana City Council chambers.
