Want to be an election judge?

The Champaign County Clerk’s office is looking for some folks to become election judges for the 2020 election, which we know is going to be a doozy.

Here are the things you need to know before you sign up:

  • You would serve from at least 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day and are compensated $200 for your work.
  • Must be willing to work in a different precinct other than the one you live in.
  • May be required to pick up supplies and set up the polling place before the polls open.
  • May be required to drive, or escort as a passenger, supplies back to the Election Supply Building after the polls close.
  • May need to serve as a nursing home judge at a nursing home location.

Even high school juniors and seniors (with at least a 3.0 GPA) can be election judges at their schools (read: as long as your school is cool with it, you get to miss class to do your civic duty)!
