Watch exclusive footage of locally shot feature film Consumed

Consumed is a new feature film that was shot in and around C-U last year. This year it’s been selected to premier at the prestigious LA Film Festival next week. The film is described as a thriller surrounding the controversy over GMOs and it stars Zoe Lister-Jones, Taylor Kinney, and Danny Glover.

C-U local Brett Hays, owner of Shatterglass Studios, was a producer on the film and is excited about what’s to come for the film, “Obviously, the goal is to get a wide release and with the selection to go the LA Film Festival that’s a good start.”

Hays also believes that premiering a locally shot film in Los Angeles is like this will be an excellent way to draw interest in shooting in Champaign County from outside production companies. Hays believes that this is a great place to film and thinks that getting this area on the map is going to be good for both the community and for filmmakers.

The Hollywood Reporter has an exclusive clip of the film that you can watch here (and below).

There is no current plan to show the movie in Champaign just yet, but once distribution for the film is set up it could make its way into local theaters.
