Come out to the Canopy Club on March 13th to help raise money for the YMCA. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the show starts at 8:30 p.m. After the Catholic Church redacted a large grant due to YMCA’s ties to an association that deals mostly with immigration (and has positive ties to LGBT* parties), Champaign-Urbana groups are banding together to do what they can to ensure the YMCA can continue to service and support the community.
The following local musicians are donating their time: Withershins, The 92s, A Cool Hand, Cheef, Justin Rondon, and Wasted Words. Tickets are $5 for students, and $7 for the general public. The venue is 18+ and Manolo’s pizza is readily available for purchase.
