It’s not quite Halloween, but you may want to start thinking about your Thanksgiving table. Personally, I love to think about Thanksgiving food.

Common Ground Food Co-op has once again opened up orders for Thanksgiving turkeys from Triple S Farms. We’ve purchased one of these for the past several years, and they have always been delicious, and the process has been very easy.

You can order a small, medium, or large bird, and the cost ranges from $6.69 to $ 8.49 a pound. You’ll need to put down a $25 deposit when you order.

You can pick it up either November 9th or 16th in the mall hallway, and you’ll get some coupons for the store as well.

They’ve indicated that there are limited quantities this year, so order soon.

As for cooking the thing, Publisher Seth Fein has written on this topic multiple times, and claims to have the only right way to cook a turkey. However, in my family, we throw it on the smoker (after brining, of course) and it is absolute perfection. To each their own.
