I am part of a group called Champions for CASA organizing this event to raise money for Champaign County CASA, an organization that advocates for more than 600 abused and neglected children in Champaign County. Chancellor Easter and his wife are heading up the effort, and I am one of about 30 members of the Community raising money for and awareness of CASA throughout the month of April. Other CASA events this month include Blind Post, happy hour at Refinery, and many more. Our goal is for each event to raise $1,000 for CASA.
WHO: DJ Belly, DJ Mertz, Street-Level Doppler, and The Beeson Brothers
WHAT: CASA Benefit Show, cover is a $5 donation to CASA
WHERE: The Beer Garden at Mike ‘N Molly’s
WHEN: Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 7p.m.
Mike ‘N Molly’s will also be offering a $3 Stella Artois special that night, and for each Stella sold Murph will give $0.50 to CASA.
Attendees can enter their name in a drawing to win prizes from the Board Boutique, Farren’s Pub and Eatery, and Circles Boutique! Xinh Xinh Cafe is donating food for the event. We will also have people from CASA there to answer any questions and give some more information on their fabulous organization.
