Remember when the Urbana Landmark Hotel was Jumers?

As someone who grew up in Central Illinois in the eighties, I had a lot of experience with Jumer Hotels. I lived in Bloomington-Normal, and had family in Peoria and Galesburg, all of which had one, and I did a lot of brunches with grandparents, school banquets, and little overnight stays with my family. My husband and I stayed in the Urbana Jumers once when it was in its final years, and had dinner in the cavernous dining room.

Just last week, it was announced that the hotel had been purchased, again, and was set to be renovated into a Tapestry hotel, a division of Hilton Hotels. Also last week, UrbanaLove.com shared some photos of the menu from the former Jumers. Check out those prices!
