EDITOR’S PICK: THE WHIGS, HI HO BUFFALO
Cowboy Monkey ($5) — Saturday, August 24th at 9:30 p.m.

In one of the more surprising bookings at Cowboy Monkey this week, The Whigs are performing for close to nothing with a $5 cover charge. Pretty incredible considering the short-yet-sweet catalog the band has. Their debut record Mission Control  still holds up fairly well, in addition to their record from a few years back called In The Dark. Solid band to be performing for this amount in a pretty good space for them on Saturday night.
