The Odyssey Project, an adult learning program through the Humanities Research Institute, is accepting applications for their spring 2024 cohort. The program is open to low-income adults who are looking to further their learning through college courses. From the website description:

As an Odyssey student, you will take a two-part series of core humanities courses introducing you to Literature, Philosophy, Art History, and U.S. History — all taught by University of Illinois instructors. These face-to-face, discussion-focused courses offer you the chance to learn in a supportive, interactive classroom environment with instructors whose expertise and teaching interests are rooted in humanities values and practices.

The free classes take place in the evenings, and offer the opportunity to earn eight college credit hours.

You can find the application on the program’s website. They are due January 4th.
