Per our dear friends at The News-Gazette, Baxter’s American Grille is set to open in the space formerly occupied by TGI Friday’s and Prairie Fire in Champaign as early as July (100 Trade Center Drive, or, the southwest corner of Neil and Kirby).
Baxter’s only other location is in Bloomington, and ratings on Yelp and OpenTable seem positive. The menu is, according to the restuarant’s website, “classic American cuisine,” which includes steak, stroganoff, Dinner prices at the Bloomington location are $16 to $34; lunch prices are $9 to $16.
