C-U native Lucia Lin returns to play with Sinfonia da Camera this month

According to her bio, accomplished violinist Lucia Lin was just 11 years old when she made her debut, performing with the Chicago Symphony. Her subsequent accomplishments are numerous, and she is currently imparting her musical wisdom to students at Boston University, as a professor of music.

She will be joing Sinfonia da Camera for their upcoming concert at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, on February 17th at 7:30 p.m. The concert will feature three pieces:

Leonard Bernstein: Overture to Candide
Erich Korngold: Violin Concerto
Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphony No. 3 “Eroica”

Lin will be performing Korngold’s Violin Concerto. You can read a little background on Korngold here. He was well known as a film score composer, and the concerto draws on pieces of his scores from the films Juarez, Anthony Adverse, Another Dawn, and The Prince and the Pauper.
