Celebrate one year of San Miguel Panadería with free tamales and Mexican hot chocolate

San Miguel Panadería in Urbana opened one year ago on December 14th, and to celebrate the bakery’s first anniversary, San Miguel is giving away free Mexican hot chocolate and tamales by La Mixteca this Thursday. There will be tamales in three flavors: vegetable, pork with red sauce, and chicken with green sauce. It’s limited quantity; there will be 500 tamales for the party, and when they’re gone, they’re gone, but complimentary hot chocolate will be available all day long.

Inside San Miguel Panaderia in Urbana, there are cases of pastries, two small teal couches, and Christmas decorations.

While at the Mexican bakery, try out the shop’s pastries and cakes, too.

Most items here are self-serve, so grab a silver tray and some tongs, then put whatever looks yummy on it, and pay at the register.

The trays of fresh baked goods have no labels, so customers simply decide with their eyes what to eat.

There are cakes, pudding, and tarts, too.

For more about the food, check out Matt’s review from earlier this year. And if anyone is hungry for a cookie, drop $1.50 on my favorite: the rainbow sprinkle.
