The Recreation Club in Champaign will host a local showcase featuring bands from Central Illinois at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 7th, featuring Sitrus Sol (glittery dreampop), The Blank Stairs (alternative), Aftersome (punk pop) and the mysterious RED’S HEAD. The intimate performance space was a speakeasy in the early 20th century and more recently a recording studio. Ten dollars for fresh music from young, independent bands is the bargain of the weekend.
