Don’t skip the strawberry treats at Suzu’s

A soft serve ice cream parfait in a cup has waffle cone and strawberries on it, with two spoons sticking out. Next to it is a strawberry mini tart, with pink filling, resting on a white paper napkin folded into a triangle. Both items are perched on the light wood top of a ledge.

Earlier this week I stopped by Suzu’s for an afternoon snack. I had seen some new strawberry treats — a mini tart and an ice cream parfait — and wanted to try them. So I ordered both for my husband and I to split. The strawberry mini tart ($2) was so tiny and cute and lived up to its name: it wasn’t very sweet but instead a little tart, thanks to the addition of lime. The ice cream parfait ($6.50) is soft serve vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberry and crushed up waffle cone. It was simple yet tasty, a nice little frozen treat on a hot day.
