It’s almost time for Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County’s annual fundraiser, Raise the Woof!, and they are looking for some teams to participate in this building challenge. Teams are tasked with creating and building a pet house. The completed houses will be judged, then put up for auction to raise money for Habitat’s home builds.

It’s okay if you don’t really know how to build things. There are two different categories of competition. Sign up as Old Dogs if you have some building experience. You’ll be able to free build your house. If you need more guidance, sign up as Young Pups. You’ll get a design, materials, and instructions.

This year’s Raise the Woof! is on September 9th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Champaign County Restore. The event name implies dog, but these houses can be for any small animal: dog, cat, bird, rabbit, guinea pig…whatever!

Register your team online at Habitat’s website.
