Look, no one needs to twist my arm to get food from the wide variety of delicious restaurants that serve some form of Asian cuisine in this town, but I am here for this challenge that has been put forth by Experience Champaign-Urbana.

They are launching a new program where they offer “experience passes” to encourage us to go out experience all that C-U has to offer. First up is the CU in Asia culinary trail. Sign up for an experience pass on their website, and the passport will be delivered to your phone via text, with an opportunity to add it to your homescreen. The passport has a list of 71 restaurants with a variety of cuisines, that you can check into when you eat there. Each visit is 100 points. Once you’ve visited ten spots, you’ll be entered to win prizes which include $100 in gift cards to one of the participating restaurants of your choice, and a Chambana Proud t-shirt of your choice. They will draw names for prizes on September 1st, December 1st, March 1st, and June 1st.

Many of the participating restaurants have been reviewed right here on Smile Politely, so be sure to check our very thorough Food & Drink section if you need some help choosing where to start.

Stay tuned for future experience passes. A public art version is in the works.
