Tanaka Ramen, a ramen restaurant in Campustown, has closed for good. The Green Street restaurant had a menu of ramen, gyoza, steamed buns, fried oysters, rice bowls, Tokyo-style curry bowls, and more served by a robot.

Now closed, the restaurant posted this message to customers this morning on Instagram.

It has been an incredible journey filled with delicious bowls of ramen and wonderful memories, but unfortunately the time has come for us to bid farewell to our beloved location…As a token of our appreciation, we have arranged for our friends at Tenkyu, located downtown…to honor and take care of any unused coupons and gift cards.

Tenkyu Izakaya is anticipated to open in the old Miga space in Downtown Champaign next month.
