Just recently, I wrote about researchers at Beckman Institute finding that a regular yoga practice can improve executive functioning, and in turn improve short term memory. It also confirmed that it does indeed reduce stress and anxiety.

If you are an early bird on weekend mornings — not like 6 a.m. early, more like 8:30 a.m. early — maybe this new yoga class is something for you. Rise and Flow is described as a class that “honors all bodies and abilities” with “flows that energize the body, release stored tension, and get us ready for whatever the day has in store.” The class happens every Saturday from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. You can find out more about class pricing on the Hatha website.

Maybe you build yourself a nice little Saturday morning: an early trip to the Urbana market so you don’t miss all the good stuff, a little yoga, maybe treat yourself to this delicious cold brew from Espresso (it’s just a quick zip down Neil Street). Sounds like a delight.
