Listen up, C-U artists. Here are four opportunities to get your work out there, courtesy of 40 North’s Kelly White.
Visit Champaign County Pergola Mural: Visit Champaign County would like to commission a local artist to create a mural (approximately 6 feet wide by 7 feet tall) that is a welcoming, Instagram-worthy space behind the VCC office at 17 E.Taylor Street in downtown Champaign. The selected artist will receives a stipend of $2,500. Proposals due by midnight on May 23rd.
Crystal Lake Park Art Fair: Apply to be a part of the 4th Annual Crystal Lake Park Art Fair on August 6th from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Applications are due by midnight on June 1st.
MTD ART: Time for your work to take a ride! Submissions are due by midnight on Monday, June 20th.
Murals: As 40 North continues to receive requests for murals of all sizes, they are putting together a database of local artists that have experience and/or specialize in murals. If you are interested in being considered for any local murals, please email your preferred contact info and some samples of your work (or links to websites that feature samples of your work.)
