IDEA lab and MakerGirl are teaming up to get girls involved in STEM

Two brown woman in matching bright blue shirts sit at a big table in front of machinery. They both have long dark hair and one is giving a thumbs up to the camera.
The Grainger College of Engineering

Girls ages 11-13 can join MakerGirl and the Grainger Engineering IDEA lab to learn about 3D printing, computer-aided design, famous women in STEM, and also make and present their own 3D printing creation. There are two sessions to choose from and you can drop your kids off for the full class. MakerGirl started as a University of Illinois class and has grown to a company that works with girls all over the country.
