Willard Airport has not had any food options beyond vending machines since Einstein Bros. Bagels closed last spring. Now, in spring 2024, there will be a new cafe and retail space providing a wealth of options for ticketed passengers.

According to the press release, it will include: “a coffee robot for caffeine aficionados, local retail products, and a menu that puts a spotlight on locally sourced foods, all conveniently located planeside.”

The News-Gazette elaborated on the various local establishments that will be featured on the, including Martinelli’s Market, Columbia Street Roastery, Hunny Bunny Bakes, CBPB Popcorn Shop, and Central Illinois Bakehouse. There will also be “plants and decor from Planted, flowers and general merchandise from The CU Flower House by A. Hunt Design and books from The Literary.”
