Japan House is opening their doors on December 8th and 9th for a special Holiday Matcha Cafe where you can enjoy a bowl of matcha or a matcha latte and a sweet while browsing some Asian-inspired items. They always have some really unique gift items. The event page shares that there will be “ceramic pottery, kimono and yukata , origami crafts, handmade items, scarves, scrolls, posters, scrolls, books, prints, chado equipment, jewelry, furniture and more!”

They are encouraging you to pre-order your food and drink — you can do that here — though you are also welcome to just show up and browse between 12 and 4 p.m. on Friday the 8th and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday the 9th. Proceeds from all sales will support Japan House. Remember to wear some nice clean socks, as you will be asked to remove your shoes. They will also have shoe covers if you’d rather go that route.
