Champaign native John Milas will be at the Urbana Free Library this Saturday, November 11th to discuss his debut novel, The Militia House. I caught up with Milas earlier this year to chat about his book and his process; you can read that here. Milas is a Marine Corps veteran, and The Militia House is a work of Gothic horror, specifically military horror, and a haunted house story. It’s creepy and unnerving, and leaves the reader seriously questioning the validity of war.

Stop by Urbana Free Library from 4 to 5 p.m. on Saturday to hear Milas read a snippet of the book, and join him in discussion about the issues raised by the novel.
