Next Tuesday is last Champaign Farmers Market of the season, and it will be monster-themed. If you’re getting all dressed up (or getting your kids and/or pets all dressed up) in costume, why not shop the farmers market in them? There will be treats and games, a costume parade, and there will be Kid Kits available for pick up.
This month’s Kid Kit features Pumpkin Pie in a Bag. Did I know that you could make pumpkin pie in a bag? Sure didn’t! It’ll come with all the ingredients to make the recipe, including a pumpkin from Diamond’s Homestead and milk from Kilgus Farmstead. The milk will need to be picked up at Collective Pour (it can stay cold there).
Beginning November 4th, the C-U Winter Farmers Market starts up on Saturday mornings at Lincoln Square Mall.
