Dr. Larry Smarr, one of the founding directors of National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) is paying a visit to University of Illinois on Thursday. He’ll be giving a lecture, “From NCSA to the National Research Platform”, which is free and open to the public on May 9th at 12 p.m. in the NCSA auditorium on the first floor. If you’re unable to attend in person, you can watch via Zoom.

Smarr’s ties to campus are robust, and his resume is a long one in the realm of technology and innovation. Smarr was a guest at PYGMALION in 2016 as part of NCSA’s anniversary that year, and you can read a feature written about him here from a few years back.
