Today the Smile Politely publishing year comes to a close, as does our Year End Donation Campaign. If you’ve donated over the past couple of weeks, thank you! Asking for contributions from our readers was a new thing in 2023, and we really had no idea what the response might be. We’ve been so encouraged by the results, and honored by your willingness to support the work that we do.
Did you catch our annual rundown of the BEST and WORST of 2023? As community members who have this platform, this is the culmination of all that we do throughout the year. We highlighted what was great about this year in Arts, Culture, Food & Drink, and Music. Offering criticism is also an important part of our work. We love this community and want it to be better in a variety of ways. And so, we take this opportunity to air our grievances in WORST.
And with that, it’s time for a break. We will return rested and ready with fresh content in early January.
