Urbana Park District and the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology are partnering for a series of nature walks that will focus on a variety of pollinators.

  • Birds with Champaign County Audubon Society, August 12th, 8 to 10 a.m. (rain date August 13th)
  • Bees with Illinois Extension, August 19th, 10 a.m. to noon (rain date August 20th)
  • Bats with Midwest Bat Hub, August 26th, 7 to 9 p.m. (rain date August 27th)

Each event will consist of a presentation by a local scientist, a guided exploration of either Busey Woods or Crystal Lake Park, a snack inspired by the featured wildlife, and a take home craft that will support the wildlife in our area. These Science Strolls are free, but there is limited space, so you should register soon!
