Are you missing the sounds of the Altgeld chimes echoing through the University of Illinois campus? Back in February, they rang out for the last time for while. Renovations are now fully underway.
But never fear! There is an Altgeld chimes album! On November 15th, the Altgeld Ringers and the Music and Performing Arts Library are having a release party to celebrate The Altgeld Chimes: Songs for Our Dear Old Illinois. From the event description: “There will be brief remarks about the recording process, refreshments, and free copies of the CD available (while supplies last).”
