Two artists will discuss art and the climate crisis Thursday, June 24th

If you’ve visited Kim Curtis’ Harvest installation at Weaver Park, you know how powerfully art can speak to the issue of climate change.

At 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 24th, Curtis will join artist Eric Benson and Savannah Donovan, of the Urbana Park District, for an online discussion about this imporant intersection between creativity and environmentalism.

This event, part of the Pandemic as Portal to Change exhibition and discussion series, is presented by Museum of the Grand Prairie in collaboration with Krannert Art Museum, Urbana Arts and Culture Program, The Urbana Free Library, the College of Fine and Applied Arts at UIUC, and Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center.
