Former English and Creative Writing major at U of I Justine Chan will be at The Literary Friday, July 14th for an event promoting her new book, Should You Lose All Reason(s), a collection of poems examining her experiences as a Chinese American woman. Her triptych of poems draws on her time spent working in AmericaCorps, as a park ranger, and traveling throughout the United States. She explores themes of race, loneliness, stories, family, cityscapes, landscapes and cityscapes, survival, music, climate change, resilience, the West, and America.
