U of I has emergency use authorization for their saliva tests

This time, they actually have the authorization. Back in August, we shared this same news, but it turns out it wasn’t true. The University misunderstood federal guidance and assumed it was authorized due to a bridging study comparing it to a test developed by Yale. It was not.

This legit FDA emergency approval means Governor Pritzker can use $20 million in CARES funding to provide tests to other state universities. You can read more here.
