Last year, news broke that Maize Mexican Grill‘s original location at First and Green was going to be demolished in 2024. Their new restaurant inside the Illini Union has been up and running for some time now, in addition to their Maize at the Station location and food truck, of course. Though soon enough, the original location will come down, therefore time is of the essence if you’re looking to visit one last time. The Daily Illini‘s report has confirmed it’ll be coming down in “early June”.
