A little while ago, we posted about mac and cheese (or rather, that I Heart Mac & Cheese in Urbana had closed). It kicked off a lively discussion about whether or not Farren’s has macaroni and cheese on the menu, and while Farren’s doesn’t always have it on the menu, it is sometimes a special.
Well, dear reader, special time has arrived. Tonight’s special, to celebrate National Burger Day, is the mac daddy, a burger topped with mac and cheese. I think it’s my favorite Farren’s specialty burger. I inevitably get this song stuck in my head, which means I call this burger the mac dad, daddy mac.
Today is the day you can try Farren’s mac and cheese, on the mac daddy / mac dad, daddy mac burger. Happy National Burger Day!
