The 25th-ranked Illinois Men’s basketball team starts their season tonight with an exhibition game against Ottawa. Even though the game is happening during Homecoming weekend, there are still tickets available. Exhibition games won’t impact the teams record and gives players and hint of what to expect in the coming season. There will be one more exhibition game next week, a fundraising game against Kansas. The game will be Coach Bill Selfs first game back at the State Farm Center since 2003, and a great opportunity to raise money for the people affected by the Maui wildfires.
